Chris was born and raised in Connecticut.  From a very young age she has been an avid artist, photographer, gardener and equestrian.  She was given her first Nikon by her parents at age 8 and has had a camera by her side ever since.  She paints mostly from her own photographs of her gardens and pets.  Chris attended the State University of New Paltz where she thrived as an art student and majored in Graphic Design.  Her equestrian photographs have been featured in magazines and club publications in the equestrian community.  Recently she was commissioned for a watercolor of a corgi for the cover of a novel called "Corgi Cove".  Chris resides on a small farm in Connecticut with her husband and many animals.   She specializes in botanical photography, acrylic & watercolor painting, and colored pencils.  Works and art products will be available for purchase on the White Violet Studio Etsy page coming soon in Fall 2017.
